SunCity Paradise: Coming from The Netherlands, describe the country and its atmosphere a bit. What’s one aspect that really stands out to you and makes it special? Also, what’s one sight you would suggest a first-time visitor to see when they’re in town?
Kill The Buzz: The atmosphere in Holland is friendly! The one aspect that makes The Netherlands so special is that we live under sea level. It’s a unique thing since a huge part of the Netherlands is made artificially from sand. First-time visitors should go and see Maastricht & Rotterdam. Rotterdam is a beautiful city with a modern touch and great architecture. Maastricht is beautiful, but the total opposite and possesses more historical scenery. Oh, and don’t forget to stop by in Breda, as well!
SCP: To constantly create music while you’re traveling around the world must be such a feeling. What’s the most impactful and meaningful part you cherish about it? Does the traveling help inspirationally?
KTB: The thing that I cherish the most about traveling is that I can see places and visit city’s that I only dreamed of as a kid. We didn’t have a lot of money during my childhood and going on holiday wasn’t something really common, let alone crossing the ocean to the United States, South America and Canada, or going the other way to China, Singapore and Australia. I feel blessed that I now get the chance to do what I love the most, while seeing bits and pieces of the world. Experiencing all of that is my source of inspiration. Seeing new places and getting in touch with different people inspires me to get connected by making music.

SCP: Describe your thought process behind the recent remix you did for “Forever” by Rico & Miella. How has it been received so far?
KTB: I’m getting a lot of positive response and support on the remix! I wanted to create a track with a bass-house-driven style, but with a touch of Kill The Buzz. I like the Arabic flow of melodies and combined I made the “Forever” remix. I was always fond of Jauz and the bass fills that he used. I wanted to implement those elements in this remix. I think it worked out pretty well!

SCP: How does music and travel complement and go hand-in-hand with each other?
KTB: Music is the reason why I am traveling the world these days, so it’s a perfect match! Besides it being the thing that I love the most, music comes in many forms and is one of the things that unites people with one single cause: entertainment.
SCP: When searching for a personal getaway, are you looking for a serene beach or after a more active, adventurous getaway? Why?
KTB: Adventurous getaway! It’s the same way I approach music. It’s a journey, with you and I being the passengers. The more adventurous the better.
SCP: One of our core objectives at SCP is to bring people together while traveling, not only to influence people to see and appreciate our beautiful world, but to also minimize cross-cultural divides. What effect does traveling, specifically surrounding dance music, have on humans in this regard? How has it broadened your perspective of the world?
KTB: Though music comes in many varieties and styles, I’ve seen that dance music can unite people regardless from where they come from or what kind of background they have. It’s great to see so many faces while being on stage and knowing that they’ve all come together for the same reason. I used to think that the world was divided in every single way, but now I’ve also experienced that we can be united.
SCP: Everyone has a list of places that they still have to hit. What are three destinations, either work or pleasure, that you need to see? Why?
KTB: First, the Northern Lights, because it’s one of the most unique phenomena of mother earth and something I want to experience. Second, is Whistler, because I love snowboarding and it’s one of the places that I have on my wish list to visit. Third, is Kyoto, because I’m a huge fan of Japanese movies and Anime’s. I would love to see the old historical sceneries of Japan with my own eyes.
SCP: Most destinations have a festival that they’re known for, whether it’s Mardi Gras in New Orleans or Oktoberfest in Munich. Which one would you choose to attend? Why?
KTB: Mardi Gras in New Orleans! I’ve been to New Orleans in the past and Mardi Gras in New Orleans is definitely something I would like to be part of at least once in my life.
SCP: What is the most beautiful outdoor location that you’ve played at? How did the beauty add to the music?
READ MORE: Travel Profile: Jean Claude Ades
KTB: There are a lot of outdoor locations which were all beautiful in their own way in my opinion, so to pick one is impossible. But, I can tell you that every outdoor location takes you and the crowd on a totally different musical experience than the show before that.
SCP: When you’re relaxing on a beach or just have some downtime are you listening to dance music? Or do you like to switch up the tunes? If so, to what?
KTB: Switch tunes. I listen from songs from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, to all the latest hits from now in every genre — John Legend, Alicia Keys, Earth Wind & Fire, Daft Punk, Toto, Armin van Buuren, India Arie, Pharrell Williams, Jay-Z, Future and so on.
SCP: Lastly, when’s the next vacation and where to?
KTB: Croatia! I’m playing Ultra Europe, and my girlfriend and I thought it was a great idea to take a short vacation while we are there.
