Life really boils down to a series of moments — quick, fleeting moments. We plan and prepare, then wait in anticipation for these moments, and some of the most memorable involve travel. Most of us don’t get on a plane every week to go somewhere, so when we do it’s thrilling throughout. The guys over at How Ridiculous showcase this the best with their latest feat of the highest basketball shot ever made — 593.73 feet. They planned for months and traveled 9,000-plus miles, from Australia to Switzerland, for a moment that lasted a few, brief minutes. They miraculously made the shot on their third attempt. As amazing as it is, it’s so much more than a basketball shot. It’s the journey to get there. It’s the appreciation of Mauvoisin Dam’s beautiful location. The shots the moment of culmination, but the whole experience is what makes it special.
