Divided, almost in half, between California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe has long been a vacation destination for both area locals and people from a far. Unique for it’s all-year-round offerings, it doesn’t matter what season of travel is targeted, Tahoe offers an adventure. From spring to fall, when the weather is warmer, it offers world-class hiking, biking, lake activities and more. While during the winter, with snow-covered mountains, the skiing and boarding is hard to top in the United States. There may be comparable spots for similar vacations, especially out west, but few have everything Tahoe packs in around the calendar.
