One of music’s beauty is that it doesn’t really matter the location it’s played in, if it’s good music, it’s good music. Backroom or basement concerts can have the same soul-moving effect at times as the front-row at Madison Square Garden. The music itself can level the location playing field. With that said, there are some intensely-beautiful concert venues that stand out over the rest, and the following are a short list of those.
1. Dalhalla, Rattvik, Sweden
If you’ve ever wanted to party down in a former limestone quarry, here’s your chance. Voted one of the best open-air musical stages in the world, the Dalhalla offers acoustics incomparable to the other venues you’ve ever been. The Swedish venue offers opera events via it’s own opera company, pop concerts, and a plethora of other musical events. The amphitheater itself is nestled between some of Sweden’s most beautiful white cliffs, and is separated from the crowd by the waters of the quarry.
2. The Greek Theatre, Los Angeles, California
Get ’em to the Greek! The iconic Greek Theater located in Griffith Park, California has been the backdrop for many memorable performances in music history. Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, and many other infamous musicians have graced the theater’s beautiful outdoor stage. Millions of dollars have gone into countless renovations to maintain the beauty and the integrity of this beloved venue.
3. The Gorge, George, Washington
Nature and music collide at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington. The 20,000-capacity property has held evens such as Sasquatch! and hosted bands like Pearl Jam since it’s opening in 1985. The awe-inspiring views of the Columbia River and the Columbia Gorge Canyon rest just behind the Gorge’s stage. The best part? If the end of the concert has you unwilling to leave the beautiful grounds, visitors are welcome to spend the night under the stars at the Gorge’s campground.

4. Red Rocks Amphitheater, Morrison, Colorado
Similar to Dalhalla, the Red Rock Amphitheater is a naturally formed venue that will take your breath away. Years of weathered sandstone perch on the sides of the sloping theater grounds, creating a majestic view that you must see first hand to believe. The nook that creates the amphitheater creates perfect acoustics that are sure to outshine all others. Taking a closer look at the towering stone offers a peak into the land’s ancient history with up to 250 million years of animal and plant life fossilized into the incredible natural statues. Everyone should take a trip to experience a concert right at one of the Seven Wonders of the World; especially first thing in the morning to catch the sunrise.
