As our population grows city travel has increasingly become more of a hassle. Navigating traffic-filled streets is a pain we know all too well. People mostly forgo their cars for public transportation, but this often leads to longer travels on packed buses or trains, just to avoid hunting for parking.
Keeping an ever-inventive eye on the future, Elon Musk is here to change this with The Boring Company. Past the punny-name, it’s vision is ingenious and could forever change city travel. Where we currently can only travel through, and at times above, Musk has his sights on tunneling below, but the cost has been the deterrent.
Presently, it’s astronomically more expensive than paving a road, but through engineering genius Musk seeks to cut this cost by a factor of 10. If successful (and, we wouldn’t bet against the real-life Iron Man), we’ll be able to travel anywhere in any city unabridged in a matter of minutes. Check out his vision in the video below!
