One of the major hubs to Europe, over two million flights travel through United Kingdom airspace every year. Of those flights, more than 60 percent fly through London alone, an immense amount of air traffic. Breaking that down even further, that’s over 3,000 flights a day on only six runways. What’s even more remarkable is that 99.8% of flights experience no air traffic control delays. To illustrate this, NATS a global leader in air traffic control, released the video below to depict just how impressive this feat of modern engineering is.
