Capping off SCP’s South by Southwest coverage is a look back at one of the wildest, most unexpected nights during our trip. After a long day hopping between seminars and company-sponsored events, we started the night walking through the packed 6th avenue. People flooded the streets, with the bar rooftops coming alive overlooking the commotion. After hoping between a few locations, we stumbled onto what we thought was a comedy show line presented by Comcast, accessible only by a SXSW pass. Once the extended line was let into the open-bar, duplex venue, surrounded by skyscrapers jetting into the air from the city center, our team waited for the funny to begin.
Unbeknownst to us, this had nothing to do with comedy, and everything to do with Lil Jon rocking the DJ booth, followed by Ludacris rapping his greatest hits dating all the way back to his “Back for the First Time” album. The following 360° video was crafted by our partners at Wormhole VR from the location where we took in all the action. This night perfectly describes the beauty of SXSW, you’ll never know what you’ll stumble upon down in the streets of Austin, Texas.
